Word Warz: Royale ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Account Information: If you choose to link your account via Google or Apple, we collect your email address and display name to save your progress across devices. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we only receive Apple's private relay address, not your real email.
Device Information: We collect a unique device identifier to save your game progress locally without requiring an account.
Game Data: We collect gameplay statistics including scores, wins, losses, ELO ratings, and achievements to provide leaderboards and track your progress.
Chat Messages: Messages you send in an in-game chat are delivered to the other players in your room and held only in the server's memory for that room. They are not written to our database and are discarded when the room ends — unless a player files a report, as described below.
Reports: If you report another player, we store the reason you selected, any written note you add, the room the report came from, and the display name, account identifier, and device identifier of both you and the player you reported. We also save a copy of up to the last 15 chat messages sent by the reported player in that room, so that the report can be reviewed and acted on later.
Blocks: If you block a player, we store your identifier, that player's identifier, and their display name, so the block keeps working across sessions and devices.
We do not sell your personal information. Your display name and game statistics may be visible to other players in lobbies and leaderboards.
Reports are reviewed by us. We do not tell the player you reported who filed the report. We may disclose report information if we are legally required to do so, or where we believe it is necessary to protect someone's safety.
We retain your data as long as you use the app. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab (Danger Zone → Delete Account), or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, game statistics, progress, friends, and achievements.
Moderation records are an exception. Reports and blocks — including the chat messages saved with a report — are kept after an account is deleted, and are not removed by deleting your account. We retain them so that a player cannot erase a record of abuse by deleting and re-registering, and so that blocks placed by other players continue to protect them. We keep these records only as long as they remain useful for safety and abuse prevention, and you can ask us to review a record about you by contacting us at the address below.
We use Google and Apple for optional account linking. Their privacy policies apply to the data they collect during sign-in. We use Supabase to handle authentication and store account data on our behalf.
Word Warz: Royale is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
